Under the guidelines and collaborative idea development from Gujarat Police Department and us, the concept of e-assistance to community has been successfully implemented in four major cities across Gujarat via i Help Kiosk. This project has been set up with an aim to shorten the turnaround time of the complaints and feedbacks received from the society.

The i Help Kiosk is specifically designed to bring safety to society at their fingertips using the latest combination of Electronics and Information Technology. The i Help Kiosk enables the citizens to promote a Crime Free Society while utilizing the latest technology. On other hand, same technology enables the law enforcing authority to take prompt action with accurate decisions to bring peace to society.

i Help Kiosk is a technology oriented around the users themselves. The technology benefits the users in creating harmony while assisting the National Initiative of e-governance, which creates awareness from the i Help Kiosk, increases the participation of society thereby increasing their role in society. The project can be implemented across all 33 districts at different locations such as Police Stations, Bank ATMs, Schools, Shopping Centers and Other public areas..

The operation and interface of the i Help Kiosk is created to mimic the daily life activity to narrow the learning gap. The interface is closely related to the touch screen phones and ATM used daily by the society. The application is sought to work across all age groups, sex, cast and religions. The use of the application itself will bridge the gap between current perception and perception sought after by the society of the law enforcement authority. Further the application works for the law enforcing authority as a constant reminder through the seniority levels. These levels could be drawn across Taluka Level, District level, and State level. The proven and innovative application of i Help Kiosk has been found cost effective and beneficial to the society by increasing the effectiveness of the authority and maintaining the transparency compared to the current conventional ways.

The Scope Of Work

The proposed project has been carefully designed to integrate following major focal areas first time ever in the state of Rajasthan:


  1. Technology to enhance communication and increase reach

  2. A dedicated technology to support the community 24/7, 365 days with interactive User Interface which works on latest platform to assure the delivery of inputs to that Right Authority in No Time. The kiosk will be virtually connected with the Central Server. Furthermore, if there is no network connection, then the kiosk is capable of holding its data intact and safe, until it gets an opportunity of window to connect next time upon which it transfers its contents. This is specifically targeted for distant villages and areas.


    For optimum utilization and to get most benefit out of the kiosk, the kiosk facility could be set up in a separate infrastructure dedicated outside police stations, or it could also be set up alongside ATMs in the room on cost sharing basis with Banks and to keep safe the Concerned Person. The monitoring setup can be setup in one single room provided by our institution as our worthy partner. The physical space requirements for the set-up and final project outlay will be worked out jointly on in principal agreement with district authority .


  3. Designing, Operating, Maintaining & Support

  4. The User interface is designed to accommodate wide verity of users. The interface can be comfortably used by anyone to report their concern even if they have never used a computer before.


    The User Interface depicts a smart phone in native language or any language the user selects. If the user cannot type on keyboard, he/she has option to simply Audio/Video record their concerns and send the message directly to the authority. This will be the most effective tool to receive the complaints and act on it in NO TIME.


    The design of the kiosk is very sturdy and secure as unauthorized entry will be restricted. The updates and maintenance of the kiosk can be performed virtually for the software. For the Hardware, a dedicated team of manpower will be there to perform the preventative and regular maintenance.
